Freshly Made by My Mini-me

When I sit down to craft in my little corner of the house, I am almost always joined by my daughter, who is five.  She loves to create things along side me, especially if I let her use my tools and ink pads!

She’s been watching me everytime I create a card for a card challenge and she recently asked me if we could do one together.  So last night, we sat down and both attempted this new sketch from Freshly Made:

It really was rather cute to see her go through her own stack of paper, to decide what colour combo she wanted. And then to go through my scrap box, when she was looking for just the right accent. And after she was all done, she declared hers much better than mine! You be the judge.

Hers:

Outside

Inside

Didn’t she do a fantastic job! Definitely kept to the sketch.

Mine:

I am wishing for Spring, so I wanted to do a card that reflected that. And the Triple Treat Flower Stamp is one of my favourites, so I try to use it as much as possible.

Hope you like them both!

Here’s the details for my card:

Card Stock: Early Espresso, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade and the Berry Blossoms DSP

Stamp Sets: Triple Treat Flower and Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso

Tools and Embellishments: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch, Everyday Enchantment Brad and Stampin’ Dimensionals
