Peaceful Snowflakes

Today, I have another Christmas themed card for this week’s sketch at Merry Monday, to share with you.

The challenge:

My card:

One of my most favourite tools to use when creating a card, is the heat tool.  I just love how embossing images or sentiments, enhances the look of a card.  As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to do white snowflakes on a dark background.

I used white embossing powder and the heat tool to make the snowflakes and, it’s hard to tell from the picture, but I added some sparkle with the Smooch Spritz, to the sky and mound of snow. Real snowflakes always sparkle, so why not ones on a card!  I am really happy with this card and can’t wait to send it out in December!

Thanks for taking a look!

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock: Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper

Ink: Midnight Muse

Stamp Sets: Greetings of the Season, Snowflake Soiree, Snow Swirled

Tools & Embellishments: Heat Tool, Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Large Basic Rhinestone Jewel, Stampin’ Dimensionals
