Birthday Stars

I had a very productive morning yesterday, crafting with a really good friend. It felt really good to play with paper again and I managed to attempt a few challenges, starting with The Friday Mashup  and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

The challenges:

My card:

P1140659

Part of the “Mashup” challenge is to create a project with  “a fussy cut image.” and that is what I have done to the three main stars above. Then I used some Gold Foil and cut out some little stars, using the retired Holiday Framelits and scattered them around the big ones.

I don’t normally use such bold colours but I am happy with the way it turned and now I have another masculine card to add to my stash!

I’d also like to link this card up with SUO Challenges.

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil, Cajun Craze, Real Red, Crushed Curry

Ink: Cajun Craze, Real Red, Crushed Curry

Stamp Sets: Simply Stars, Delightful Dozen

Tools & Embellishments: Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder, Holiday Framelits (R), Stampin’ Dimensionals
