Sparkly Indigo!

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a fabulous New Year’s Eve however, you celebrated.

Being part of the first ever Design Team on the brand new card challenge Colour Me…!, is a fabulous way to start off my New Year.  Looking forward to working with all the very talented ladies on the team and seeing what you all come up with every week!

For our first challenge, we are going monochromatic, with Island Indigo:

My card:

I broke open my new Squares Collection Framelits, for my card. They have been sitting on my craft desk for over a month, and I couldn’t let them collect anymore dust!!  Since I used the fancy Silver Glimmer Paper, I kept the rest of my card pretty simple. I embossed the flower image twice, cut out the centre of one and popped it up with a dimensional to give it a bit of a 3D look.

My fellow Design Team members have also created some fabulous samples, so be sure to stop by Colour Me….! and check them out.  We can’t wait to see what you create!!! Rosemary, HayleySam, Tara, KatieLesley

The challenge will end on January 6th, at 12:00pm (EST). And as with any challenge, there are a few rules to keep things fair – you can check them out here.

Hope to see you in the gallery!

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock/DSP: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Silver Glimmer Paper

Ink: Versam Mark, Island Indigo

Stamp Sets: Secret Garden, Simply Sketched

Tools & Embellishments: Big Shot, Heat Tool, White Emboss Powder, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Secret Garden Framelits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals

  1. Brenda this card is just FABulous! I love how you have made the edges scalloped and those silver leaves are the perfect accent. Thank you so much for being a part of our 1st team, looking forward to creating with you at Colour Me…! 🙂
