Wish Big for Colour Me…!

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to play with another fun colour combo at Colour Me…! This is our Subtle week and we are working with Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.

Our challenge:

I really wanted to do something with a Back-to-School theme but I don’t seem to have any appropriate stamp sets that would work. ย So, instead, I used a piece of the Schoolhouse DSP and went with a birthday theme.

I took the inspiration for the layout, from the current sketch challenge at CAS – Colours & Sketches.

My fellow Design Team members have also created some fabulous samples, so be sure to stop by Colour Me….! and check them out. We canโ€™t wait to see what you create!!! Antonia, Bhavana, Hayley, Jinny, Julia, Kim, Ren, Tara, Valentyna, and Ceal (Guest Designer for August).

The challenge will end on August 24th, at 12:00pm (EST). And as with any challenge, there are a few rules, to keep things fair – you can check them out here.

Hope to see you in the gallery!

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock/DSP: Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Brights DSP Stack, Schoolhouse DSP

Ink: Basic Grey, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight

Stamp Sets: Endless Birthday Wishes

Tools & Embellishments: Big Shot, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Circle Collection Framelits, Dazzling Details

  1. Hi Brenda, I really love what you did here, even though it’s with the combination of grey, but the color still stood out so nicely! Lovely! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. The number patterned paper works well for the birthday theme, and the cheery yellow and pink really pop against the dark grey. Thanks for joining in our sketch challenge at CC&S! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you’ll come back again soon for another challenge.

  3. Brenda, Congratulations on having this card chosen as one of our Weekly Winners at CAS Colours & Sketches for challenge #137! Could you please email me at thinkingofinking (at) gmail (dot) com by 10:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday, September 26? There’s something I’d like to discuss with you. ๐Ÿ™‚
