Many Thanks!

 - by OttawaMom

I don’t very often give you two cards for the price of one, but since a couple of the challenges I played with on the weekend, end today, I am bringing you two quick posts, so I can make the deadlines!

First up is the card I created using this week’s colour challenge at Pals Paper Arts, paired with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

PPA198 April 3

My card:

P1150228

I am starting to really like the photopolymer stamp sets and used one here, the Another Thank You set.  I can definitely see a few more of them making it into my craft room in the near future!

Thanks for taking a look!

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock/DSP: Whisper White, Old Olive, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit, Subtles DSP Stack

Ink: Old Olive, Summer Starfruit

Stamp Sets: Flowering Flourishes, Another Thank You Photopolymer Set

Tools & Embellishments: Boho Blossoms Punch, Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Pearl Basic Jewels

Silvery Noel

My goodness this has been a busy week with very little time for crafting! But, since it is a rainy day here today and the kids are otherwise occupied, I was able to create a card for this week’s challenge at Pals Paper Arts.

The challenge:

PPA172

My card:

P1140597

This was an awesome sketch to play along with! I knew I wanted to showcase the Winter Frost DSP with the silver ribbon, as I want to use this combo in an upcoming Christmas card class.

My only stumbling block was what to use for the circle portion of the sketch. After many trials of different combinations of colours, this is what I came up with. I love how versatile the Festive Flurry Framelits are and I am super happy with the way this turned out. Let’s hope my October class goers are equally has happy!

Thanks for taking a look!

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock: Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Silver Glimmer Paper, Winter Frost DSP

Ink: Bermuda Bay

Stamp Set: Greetings of the Season

Tools & Embellishments: Big Shot, Festive Flurry Framelits, 1 3/4″ Circle, Silver 1/8″ Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Calypso Blossoms

The Design Team at Pals Paper Arts, has an absolutely gorgeous colour challenge for us this week!

The challenge:

I absolutely love this colour combo and decided to pull out a stamp set I hadn’t used in a while – Stippled Blossoms.

The flowers are stamped in Calypso Coral but to get the lighter shade, I stamped it off on a scrap piece of paper first and then stamped it again onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I used the same technique on the leaves.

Thanks for taking a look!

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock: Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral

Stamp Sets: Sweet Essentials, Stippled Blossoms

Tools & Embellishments: Big Shot, Pretty Print Embossing Folder, Pearl Basic Jewels, Baked Brown Sugar Ruffle Stretch Trim
