Mojo Monday

 - by OttawaMom

Wow. It’s been a month since I last attempted a Mojo Monday challenge and that is far too long in my humble opinion.  So last night my daughter and I sat down to craft and attempt this week’s sketch.

My card:

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to do something that would be perfect for either a Baptism or First Communion celebration.  And I kept it to two colours in order to create something elegant and appropriate to the celebration.

Thanks for taking a look.

Stamp Set: Crosses of Hope

Quilted Easter

 - by OttawaMom

It’s been a while since I played with a sketch from the Friday Mashup, and I am getting this one in just under the wire! Truth be told, I have had the card made for a while but life got busy and I haven’t had a chance to post it until now.

This week’s challenge was to create a card using a Quilted Technique, or using something in our crafting stash we had long forgotten about or Mash It Up and do both.

As I have only created a quilt card once, I was up for the challenge and I decided to create this lovely Easter card.

My card:

I absolutely love the Everyday Enchantment DSP from Stampin’ UP! and will be very sad when it is no longer available, so I knew I had to use it one last time.

Hope you like it.

Here’s all the details:

Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Everyday Enchantment DSP

Ink: Calypso Coral

Stamp Set: Easter Dove

Tools and Embellishments: Big Shot, Framelits Dies Labels Collection, Basic Pearls and Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon

Freshly Made Birthday

 - by OttawaMom

It’s the last weekend of March Break and it is going to be filled with a lot of birthday celebrations.  Both my son and niece are celebrating birthdays tomorrow – they were born exactly one year apart! – so I thought I would use the Freshly Made Sketch for this week to create a card for my niece.

This week’s sketch:

My card:

My niece is turning 8, so I wanted something a little more grown up and I knew it had to include purple and flowers. The Cheerful Treat DSP fit the bill perfectly.

Here’s all the details :

Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Cheerful Treat DSP

Ink: Wisteria Wonder

Stamp Sets: Mixed Bunch and Happy Birthday Wishes

Tools and Embellishments: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Blossom Punch, Modern Label Punch, Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad in Lucky Limeade, Whisper White Satin Ribbon.

Thanks for looking.
