Gold and Silver Noel

A very quick post today, as I have a card I wanted to share before the deadline passes.

It has been awhile since I played along with Merry Monday, and I couldn’t resist this week’s challenge of using black, gold and silver.

My card:

P1150946

The inspiration for the layout of the card, comes from sketch #303 at Clean and Simple Stamping

Thanks for taking a look! Hope you all have a happy Saturday!

Here’s what I used:

Card Stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Foil Paper

Ink: Basic Black, Metallic Gold Encore Ink, Metallic Silver Encore Ink

Stamp Sets: Festive Flurry, Gorgeous Grunge, Greetings of the Season

Tools & Embellishments: Big Shot, Festive Flurry Framelits, Frosted Finishes (R)

Silvery Noel

My goodness this has been a busy week with very little time for crafting! But, since it is a rainy day here today and the kids are otherwise occupied, I was able to create a card for this week’s challenge at Pals Paper Arts.

The challenge:

My card:

This was an awesome sketch to play along with! I knew I wanted to showcase the Winter Frost DSP with the silver ribbon, as I want to use this combo in an upcoming Christmas card class.

My only stumbling block was what to use for the circle portion of the sketch. After many trials of different combinations of colours, this is what I came up with. I love how versatile the Festive Flurry Framelits are and I am super happy with the way this turned out. Let’s hope my October class goers are equally has happy!

Thanks for taking a look!

Merry Circles

I finally got my hands on some of the new products in the Holiday catalogue, and used some new DSP for this week’s challenge at Merry Monday.

The challenge:

My card:

P1140478Isn’t that a fantastic plaid pattern?! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and am definitely going to have to use it in one of my upcoming Christmas card classes.

I know I veered a little from the sketch, but when I sat down to create my card, I realized I didn’t have three different sized circle punches. So instead, I substituted some stars and I think I really like how it came out.

Thanks for taking a look!
