Another day, another card to share with you.  This time I combined two different challenges into one card – the colour challenge from the Friday Mashup and the sketch challenge from Mojo Monday.

While Americans will be celebrating Memorial Day this weekend, those of us in Canada are celebrating Victoria Day. That being said, I have a huge respect for all men and women in uniform and have “Mashed” it up in honour of them. I don’t really have any patriotic stamp sets but I did my best. And for once I actually had all of the colours for the colour portion of the challenge!

I’ll be honest, I struggled with this sketch and almost threw in the towel and gave up for the week.  But that’s why it’s called a challenge!  I set it aside for a day, came back to it and now I think I’m pretty happy with what I was able to come up with.

I’m back with another Mojo Monday and it’s only Tuesday! I think this is a new record for me.

I loved this sketch and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, which is also a rarity for me. It can sometimes take me hours to decide what to do with a sketch, but this one was easier for me.

I recently purchased the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die and couldn’t wait to play with it and thought this sketch was perfect for it.

I also love the Mocha Morning DSP and seem to use it whenever I can. And I thought the butterflies would compliment this paper beautifully and I think I was right.
