Happy Sunday stampers! I do hope that everyone is having a great weekend. Ours has been chalk full of all sorts of fun activities, including the kids’ first sail boat ride!
Before we get to our new challenge at Sunday Stamps, I want to give a shout out to Joan, who is stepping down from the Design Team. I will miss working with her but wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
Now onto the challenge – it’s time for a fun new sketch!
Our challenge:
My card:I will admit, that it took me a while to come up with a plan for my card. My original idea looked awful (what looked good in my head, didn’t look at all right in real life!). And then I realized the one Die that would have been perfect for the large circle in the background, I sold to make room for new Stampin’ Up! Products! So back to the drawing board I went.
In the end I decided to trim one of the Tea Lace Doilies for the background, found some flowers, leftover from previous projects, in my stash, and put them together with some DSP and pretty ribbon, to come up with what you see here. This is one of those times where it paid off to keep leftover bits and pieces!
Please do check out what my fellow DT members have created. I know you are going to be inspired by what they have come up with! Holly (creator), Marie, Kathya and Angel.
And just to keep things fair, please remember that we do have a few rules. You can check them out here.
The deadline to submit your creation is Friday, August 22nd, at 6pm (EST), so there’s plenty of time to play along!
Hope to see you in the gallery!
